Samuchit Enviro-Tech is a private limited company registered in India. The company was established in 2005, with the aim to work as a commercial associate of Appropriate Rural Technology Institute (ARTI), an internationally acclaimed NGO based in India. However, over the years the scope of Samuchit has become broader, and now encompasses all aspects of sustainable development, relevant to both rural and urban populations in the developing world.The company is ably led by acclaimed scientist and innovator Dr. A.D. Karve, and his equally accomplished daughter Dr. Priyadarshini Karve.
Samuchit is focused on providing environmentally sustainable energy and waste management solutions to rural and semi-urban households and establishments in India and other developing countries. We market a number of products that address the problem of indoor air pollution in rural kitchens, where wood and biomass are still prevalent cooking fuels. In addition we also provide waste-to-energy solutions customised to the needs of households as well as organisations based on ARTI's Ashden Award Winning biogas technology. We also promote solar energy devices as well as kerosene saving devices, and provide advice and consultancy on any energy saving, pollution reducing alternatives to traditional technologies.
In addition to the technological products and services, we also provide a number of educational services aimed at informing members of the public about concepts of sustainable development, carbon footprint, etc.
